Who Are We?

Pretty Little Things, located in the heart of Bethel, CT is a totally unique consignment experience - delivering quality, value and style to environmentally conscious and financially savvy consignors and shoppers alike. We offer a wide selection of like-new and new womens clothing and accessories - ranging from famous designer brands to mainstream labels. Consignment is the best way for us all to have the clothing we want at a fraction of the retail cost – from career professionals to stay-at-home moms, teenagers on a first-job-salary budget to someone with room to splurge…and everyone in between. Inspired by a passion for fashion, the adventure of resale, and the thrill of saving money, we promise our customers will make more when they consign, save more when they shop, and have fun doing both!

Interested in consigning your own items? It couldn’t be easier; here's the short version:

Step 1: Call the shop to schedule a consignment appointment

Step 2: Gather up the clothing, shoes, jewelry, purses and accessories that you want to consign

Step 3: Make sure items are ready for consignment according to established guidelines

Step 4: Bring your things to the shop; complete the standard Consignment Agreement Form

Step 5: We'll review, price, and display items for sale

Step 6: Once the items sell, you receive your share of the proceeds…

Our History

Owner and founder Shannon Anderson left behind an established Human Resources position in Corporate America to start this one-woman business in her small hometown of Bethel, CT. Pretty Little Things is a consignment shop that caters to all women looking to make more, spend less, and look & feel great. A beautiful shop with a unique atmosphere, Pretty Little Things reflects the owner’s entrepreneurial spirit, her creative family influence, and guarantees to keep you coming back for more.

“The practice of reusing and restyling items has been around for ages; over the past few years, it’s become recognized as the ultimate form of environmentally friendly recycling. The clothing consignment industry was just starting to take hold when I was young and it has been a constant in my life ever since. I always loved going on “treasure hunts” with my sister, mom & grandmother to find things that we had missed when they first came out at the malls or department stores…and not having to pay those retail prices went a long way towards teaching me the value of a dollar. My parents instilled this value in my sister and I early on. Dad was an engineer by profession, but his passion for woodworking afforded me a true appreciation for real craftsmanship and all things handmade. Mom was a self-taught seamstress extraordinaire. What we couldn’t find or afford in the store, she’d sew for us. She created so many amazing pieces for us over the years, we started calling them her “pretty little things.” Inevitably, it wouldn’t be long before it was time to make room for more; what started as a seasonal closet- cleaning tradition with my mom was the seed that grew into Pretty Little Things – a long time dream of mine come true! “
